Choose the best starting method #

Start withUse it whenReview most carefully
PromptYou know the business and outcome but have no design.Facts, page scope, tone and calls to action.
Screenshot or designYou have a visual reference and want an editable reconstruction.Spacing, responsive behavior, fonts, image rights and interactions that a still cannot show.
Existing URLYou are rebuilding a site you control or have permission to reproduce.Ownership, current content, hidden states, forms and dynamic behavior.
Starter templateYou want a proven structure and will replace its content.Removing irrelevant sections and sample data.
BlankYou want full control or only need a small page.Navigation, page structure and responsive behavior you must create yourself.

Write input the generator can use #

A useful prompt names the audience, offer, required pages, visual direction and main action. Prefer concrete constraints over adjectives.

Create a website for a neighborhood coffee roastery in Los Angeles.
Audience: local customers and wholesale buyers.
Pages: Home, Shop, Wholesale, About, Contact.
Primary action: order coffee.
Style: warm, editorial, generous whitespace, accessible contrast.
Include a product list backed by data and a wholesale enquiry form.

For a screenshot, use the clearest full-width reference available. A screenshot contains no information about hover, keyboard focus, validation, breakpoints or the destination behind a button, so those behaviors must be added and tested later.

Understand generation and retry states #

Keep the creation page open while the request is running. If generation fails, use the visible retry action rather than creating several duplicate websites. A retry can consume allowance depending on where the failure occurred, so check the website list before starting over.

When a result opens, first verify that it belongs to the correct workspace and that all expected pages appear. Then make edits in the visual editor. Do not use generation as a substitute for importing private data or confidential customer material.

What still requires human review #

  • Every factual claim, price, contact detail and legal statement.
  • Copyright and permission for uploaded or generated text, images and designs.
  • Pixel fidelity at the widths that matter to your audience.
  • Keyboard behavior, focus order, contrast, labels and screen-reader meaning.
  • Titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data and index controls.
  • Forms, database bindings, item routes, integrations and the published result.
You will know it worked when the generated pages are present in the dashboard, open in the editor, contain no unexplained placeholder content, and can be changed without editing source code.
